About this Performance
Bonny Light Horseman’s brand of folk music is rooted in life’s biggest thrills and challenges: love and loss, hope and sorrow, community and family, change and time. They’re also incredibly accomplished artists, both individually and as a group. Anaïs Mitchell is the playwright and songwriter behind Hadestown, the Broadway hit that garnered eight Tonys and a Grammy. Eric D. Johnson’s work as Fruit Bats has made him a beloved figure in the indie world, and Josh Kaufman has played with everyone from Bob Weir to Taylor Swift to The Hold Steady. Despite that pedigree, their music is loose and easy, yet still full of wisdom and depth. Hearing them trade off vocals and back one another up is like listening in on a conversation between old friends.
