  • Los Angeles, October 3, 2014 – The Los Angeles Philharmonic offers three Friday evening concert series, both old and new, for the 2014/15 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall which enhance the traditional concert presentation: Casual Fridays, in/SIGHT, and Inside the Music with Brian Lauritzen

The LA Phil’s popular Casual Fridays returns on October 17. This series provides patrons the opportunity to connect with the music and musicians in an engaging yet informal atmosphere. The evening includes an introduction from an orchestra member and a slightly shorter program with no intermission. Following each performance, there will be a Q&A with the artists on stage and a complimentary beer tasting hosted by local craft brewery Golden Road. Attendees will be able to sample several of Golden Road’s beers and mingle with members of the orchestra. Please note that the February 20 Casual Friday show will not include the Golden Road Brewing beer tasting.

All four concerts in this series are enhanced with video installations, and in some cases, additional artistic elements, for a complete and immersive experience. (These performances are also presented on various other subscription series during the respective weekends.)
