About this Artist

NAYGOD (Nay) is a transdisciplinary artist, DJ, producer, engineer, and scientist. Drawing from their Chicago roots and multi-year stints on both the East and West Coasts, Nay's genre-expansive sets (although they admittedly have an affinity for house and techno) serve as sonic explorations of their personal life and the genealogy of Black music, emphasizing the interconnectedness of sounds that emerge from the Black experience. Complementary to DJing, Nay is committed to creating safe spaces that center Black, trans, and queer joy. Nay co-produces the party series, SuperNatural--an event which celebrates Black queer house and club culture, and hosts a monthly radio show, Soular Power, at KCHUNG.
