About this Artist

Annie Bosler is a freelance musician in Los Angeles, a member of the Los Angeles Horn Quartet, Contemporary Los Angeles Winds (cLAw), and teacher of horn at UC Irvine, The Colburn School of Performing Arts, and El Camino College. Bosler graduated with a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in 2008 from the University of Southern California and received her Bachelor degree from Carnegie Mellon University in 2003. She has performed with artists including Wu-Tang Clan, Pdiddy, M83, Daft Punk, Terence Blanchard, John Williams, Neil Patrick Harris, Jack Black, and Carol Burnett. Bosler has toured with John Williams' Star Wars in Concert and Josh Groban performing on Dancing with the Stars, The Ellen Show, and PBS's Live from Lincoln Center. She also performed with Ringo Starr and Paul McCartney on CBS's The Beatles: The Night That Changed America - A Grammy Tribute. Bosler can also be seen playing horn on seasons 2 and 4 of Fox's TV show Glee. Bosler is a music researcher and consultant. She travels around the world lecturing about wellness for musicians. Her areas of specialty include positive performance practice (dealing with performance anxiety), instrument ergonomics, and mapping of the brain to the body. She also produced and directed 1M1: Hollywood Horns of the Golden Years, a film documentary about the history of Los Angeles studio musicians told through the eyes of the legendary Hollywood horn players. Bosler will be co-hosting the 47th International Horn Symposium with Andrew Bain in August of 2015 at The Colburn School.
