LAUREN DAVIS (Cherubino) is a vocalist, pianist, composer, and an active member of the Los Angeles new music community. She has premiered a number of opera roles including Lucha in The Industry’s Hopscotch, Blanche Barrow in Andrew McIntosh & Melinda Rice’s Bonnie & Clyde, and Miss Fitt in Michael Webster’s Nice Day for the Races. Other notable performances include Rand Steiger & Yuval Sharon’s Nimbus, LA Phil’s Minimalist Jukebox festival, John Luther Adams’ Sila at Ojai Music Festival, The Industry’s First Take, and Hildegard von Bingen’s Ordo Virtutum. A prolific songwriter, Lauren has released five albums of her own material in less than six years. She now works under the alias Mildred, whose debut album A Black Water can be found on all major listening platforms. Mildred’s sophomore album, Pop Songs from Hell, is currently in production and set for release in 2020.
