Chad Berlinghieri

Ten-year veteran of Opera Pacific and graduate of the Company's Resident Artist Program, tenor CHAD BERLINGHIERI returns to the Hollywood Bowl after singing the role of Parpingol in the 2002 production of La bohème and Gastone in La traviata in 2003. Some of his many notable roles with Opera Pacific include Don Ottavio in Don Giovanni, Malcolm in Macbeth, Remendado in Carmen, Triquet in Eugene Onegin, Pedrillo in Abduction, Borsa in Rigoletto, Howard Boucher and Motorcycle Cop in Dead Man Walking, Wirt and Marschallin's Major Domo in Der Rosenkavalier, Second Priest and First Man in Armor in The Magic Flute, Cochenille in The Tales of Hoffman, Lamplighter in Manon Lescaut, Ruiz in Il Trovatore, and Giuseppe in La traviata.

In the summer of 2001, Mr.Berlinghieri enjoyed success at the Ash-Lawn Summer Festival as Laurie in Mark Adamo's Little Women. Highlights of past summers include performing the role of Count Almaviva in The Barber of Seville with the Round Top Opera Theater under the direction of Metropolitan Opera star Licia Albanese, and Remendado in Carmen with the Bay Shore Lyric Opera Company. Just recently Mr. Berlinghieri returned from Ohio after singing Frederic in The Pirates of Penzance and Borsa in Rigoletto with the Dayton Opera. He will return to Ohio in 2005 to sing the role of Uriel in Haydn's Creation with the Dayton Philharmonic. The young tenor has also appeared with opera companies in San Diego, Long Beach, Cincinnati, and Milwaukee.
