Mezzo-soprano OLGA SAVOVA (Hostess of the Inn) has been a prizewinner at the Voci Verdiani International competition in Italy (1992), and she was nominated for a Grammy for the best opera recording in 2001 (Semyon Kotko).

Born in St. Petersburg, Savova graduated from the School of Music of the St. Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatory for piano and vocal studies in 1994, and was a faculty member for the class of Professor I. P. Bogacheva. She has been a Mariinsky Theater soloist since 1999 and has toured throughout the world, performing at Covent Garden (London), La Scala (Milan), and the Metropolitan Opera (New York). She has taken part in the Moscow Easter Festival, as well as festivals in Mikkeli (Finland) and Rotterdam (Netherlands). Additionally, she has performed solo recitals in France, Belgium, Holland, Italy, Russia, the USA, Japan, China, and Israel. In 2004, she took part in the European premiere of the Mariinsky Theater's production of Wagner's tetralogy Der Ring des Nibelungen (Festspielhaus, Baden-Baden), which was highly acclaimed by the German media as a truly historical event in music.
