About this Artist

The PAULIST CHORISTERS are a co-ed group of young singers under the direction of Dr. Martin Neary. The nucleus of this ensemble is comprised of members of The Paulist Boy Choristers of California, which enjoys a reputation as one of the finest boychoirs in the United States. The Paulist Boy Choristers have previously performed with the Los Angeles Philharmonic on subscription concerts, including the 1991 performance of the St. Matthew Passion, and in the orchestra’s recording of Mahler’s Third Symphony. They have recorded the St. Matthew Passion with the American Bach Soloists. Dr. Martin Neary served as Organist and Master of the Choristers of Westminster Abbey from 1988 to 1998. With his former post as Organist-Choirmaster of Winchester Cathedral, Dr. Neary has led his choirs on 25 foreign tours, including appearances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and with the Los Angeles Philharmonic at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion.
