As a leading operatic baritone, KELLY ANDERSON (Roy Cohn / Ghost 1 / Angel Australia) has appeared with opera companies across the United States and abroad, most notably with Houston Grand Opera, Dallas Opera, New York City Opera, Fort Worth Opera, Washington National Opera, Arizona Opera, Baltimore Opera, Deutsche Oper Berlin, Opera Leipzig, Boston Lyric Opera, Portland Opera, Austin Lyric Opera, Opera North, Florida Grand Opera, Florentine Opera, Hawaii Opera, Opera Colorado, Central City Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Palm Beach Opera, Wolf Trap Opera, and Glimmerglass Opera. 

A sought after soloist on the concert stage, he has performed with the Chicago Symphony, the BBC Symphony, the Boston Symphony, the Houston Symphony, the Cincinnati Symphony, the Tucson Symphony, the St. Louis Symphony, the Phoenix Symphony, the Kentucky Symphony, the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra, and the Berlin Symphony. Anderson made his BBC Symphony debut in March 2010 in Peter Eötvös’ opera Angels in America in the role of Roy Cohn.

Anderson’s recordings include Hans Foltz and the Night Watchman in Die Meistersinger with Sir Georg Solti and the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (London/Decca) and the role of Golfredo in Bellini’s Il Pirata (Berlin Classics).

A native of Chesterton, Indiana, he received his Bachelor of Music from the New England Conservatory and a Master of Music from the Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.

Anderson is the former Director of Artistic Administration with Florida Grand Opera and is currently the Executive Director for the Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra in Grand Junction Colorado.
