About this Artist

Cellist, vocalist, performance artist, and painter TANYA HADEN received her MFA degree from California Institute of the Arts, where she majored in experimental animation. She continues to paint as well as guest perform with various L.A. bands, including playing the cello with the Silversun Pickups, as well as singing with the ten-woman a cappella choir called Petra Haden & The Sellouts, the Haden Triplets, and the Haden Family Band. She resides in Los Angeles with her husband Jack Black, who also performed with the Haden Family on the CD Rambling Boy, and their two young children.
