Pianist CHARLES ABRAMOVIC has won critical acclaim for his international performances as soloist, chamber musician, and collaborator with leading instrumentalists and singers. He has performed throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe as both a solo recitalist and as soloist with orchestras. Highly regarded as a collaborating pianist, Abramovic appears regularly with such stellar artists as violinists Midori, Sarah Chang, Viktoria Mullova, and Robert McDuffie, as well as violist Kim Kashkashian and flutist Jeffrey Khaner.

Abramovic is highly dedicated to performing and recording contemporary music, and has recorded works by Milton Babbitt, Gunther Schuller, Joseph Schwanter, and others for CRI, Bridge, and Koch International Classics. His recording of the solo piano works of Delius on the DTR label has won high praise in both the United States and Europe.

A graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music and the Peabody Conservatory, Charles Abramovic received his doctorate in Musical Arts from Temple University. His teachers have included Natalie Phillips, Leon Fleisher, Eleanor Sokoloff, and Harvey Wedeen.

Abramovic is a professor of Keyboard Studies at Temple University's Boyer College of Music, and lives in Swarthmore, Pennsylvania with his wife, conductor and cellist Heidi Jacob, and their fifteen-year-old son, Robert.
