GRAEME DANBY (Bernard [Bull Wild Thing]) has appeared at the Royal Opera Covent Garden, English National Opera, the Teatro alla Scala Milano, the Liceu Barcelona, the Paula des Artes Valencia, De Vlaamse Opera, the Opera National du Rhin Strasbourg and the Glyndebourne Festival, His repertoire includes Bartolo (Le nozze di Figaro), Basilio (Il barbiere di Siviglia), Elviro (Xerxes), Lorenzo (I Capuleti ed i Montecchi), Pimen, Pistol, Pooh-Bah (Mikado), Ribbing (Un ballo in maschera), Rostov (War and Peace), Sacristano, Sarastro, Sergeant (Pirates of Penzance), Somnus, Talpa (Il tabarro), and Zuniga. He has worked with conductors such as Richard Bonynge, Lorin Maazel, Charles Mackerras, and Antonio Pappano, and with directors such as Calixto Bieto, John Copley, Richard Jones, Guy Joosten, David McVicar, David Pountney, and GrahamVick. His recordings include Will Todd’s oratorio Cuthbert (Hallé); Dukas’ Ariane et Barbe-Bleue (BBC SO); Antonio in Figaro and Doctor / Banker / Professor in Lulu (Chandos); and Gonzalo in Adès’ The Tempest (EMI).
