About this Performance
As Bedouine, Azniv Korkejian writes folk songs informed by a nomadic life. Born in Syria to Armenian parents and raised in Saudi Arabia, she’s lived all over the United States in her adulthood. Her music explores the pleasures and difficulties of finding and making a home, whether in the literal or metaphorical sense. She delivers these songs with a voice that Pitchfork has called “weathered and warm as the back of your grandmother’s hand,” and she’ll bring that incredible sense of intimacy to this night at The Ford.
Working under the name Steady Holiday, LA singer-songwriter Dre Babinski writes with cinematic scope. Her bittersweet sense of melody is informed by a love of Leonard Cohen and Burt Bacharach, but the stories she tells are all her own.
Free Events: The Ford has invited essential workers, fans, and community organizations from across LA county and these concerts are by invitation only.
