About this Performance
Join us for a celebration of first peoples and place. Hear songs and stories from generations before and celebrate contemporary Native expressions through music, poetry, and dance. Participants include Dennis Garcia (Fernandeño-Tataviam, Chumash, and Tongva), Chad Hamill/ čnaq'ymi (Spokane), Eric Hernandez (Lumbee), and Carolyn M. Dunn, Ph.D. (Cherokee, Muscogee Creek, Seminole, Cajun, French Creole, and Tunica-Biloxi), as well as host DeLanna Studi (Cherokee), the Artistic Director of Native Voices.
Each LA Soundscapes family event features a pre-concert activity and participatory artmaking.
