Community Residencies
Through collaborative efforts with local youth-oriented organizations, Community Residencies aims to broaden the opportunities available for emerging professionals in the arts and beyond.
Alongside our existing partnerships, The Ford has piloted three extensions of the Community Residencies program with the following organizations.
The Ford's Community Residencies program focuses on:
-
Workforce development
Supporting emerging professionals across LA County through targeted professional development, portfolio development resources, and paid hands-on opportunities onsite.
-
Community engagement
Through a youth-centered approach, The Ford collaborates with local organizations to provide and amplify opportunities available for professionals from underrepresented communities, on and off the stage.
-
Professional visibility
Ensuring that participants' work is properly uplifted. Work from our participants is published on our websites, across our social channels, used in LA Phil marketing materials, and made available to participants to showcase in their own portfolios.
Las Fotos Project
