Manuel Valencia

Manuel Valencia, is a flamenco guitarist from Jerez de la Frontera.  Grandnephew of Terremoto de Jerez, nephew of Fernando Terremoto and son of the palmero Diego Valencia "Tío Cabero". Considered by critics as an exponent of the new Jerez guitar style, he began his professional career at an early age participating in several guitar festivals and competitions such as the International Guitar Contest of the Peña Los Cernícalos (Jerez) or the Accompaniment Guitar Contest of the Cristina Heeren Foundation (Córdoba).

His first important step as a flamenco guitarist would come with Gerardo Núñez, with whom he toured Europe choosing him as second guitarist at the Festival de Jerez 2009. The following year, Manuel Valencia performed solo at that same Festival.

In 2014 he received the "Venencia Flamenca al Toque" 2014 award by the Festival Flamenco de la Mistela and performed as a soloist at the Bienal de Flamenco de Sevilla, where he was awarded the "Giraldillo Revelación". In 2016 he released his first album “Entre mis manos". In 2021 he premiers as a producer for a show for Felipa del Moreno.

Manuel has accompanied renowned flamenco singers such as La Macanita, Jesús Méndez, Manuel "Agujetas", Vicente Soto "Sordera" and Juana "La del Pipa" and dancers like Farruquito, María del Mar Moreno, Manuel Liñán and Rocío Molina. He has participated in Manuel Morao’s Company in the show "Tierra Cantaora" and has performed for the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art in Paris.
