About this Performance
Over the course of her acclaimed career, Mary Chapin Carpenter has won five Grammys, two CMA awards, and two Academy of Country Music awards, and she's one of only fifteen women to have been elected to the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame. Her most recent studio album, 2020's The Dirt and the Stars, travels through places of pain and self-illumination to arrive at joy, discovery, and the rewards of self-knowledge.
LA singer-songwriter John Craigie opens the evening with smoked-out soul, tender folk, and American songbook eloquence billowing right from the heart of California.
