Acosta Danza
Cuban ballet star Carlos Acosta’s Havana-based company, Acosta Danza, dances in styles from classical to contemporary, all fused with the elements and culture of his homeland. Cuban Landscape explores that idea through five works, including mount by L.A.’s own Michaela Taylor. As The Guardian said, “Acosta Danza boasts fantastic dancers from diverse backgrounds and, while they remain individuals, they’re developing a strong company style that is vital, sensual, technically sharp, and warmly human.”
