BLACKBIRD, FLY: A Concert for Voice, Body, and Strings
Steeped in hip-hop aesthetic, BLACKBIRD, FLY is an energetic and intimate duet between two sons of Haitian immigrants – composer/violinist Daniel Bernard Roumain (DBR) and arts activist & spoken word artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph. Together, they explore some of the biggest questions of our time – immigration, tolerance, inclusion – through an uplifting tapestry of movement, personal narrative, and music.
