About this Artist

Maira Solis is a musician and producer based from Los Angeles. She initially was introduced to music at the age of 12, where she started learning mariachi at Stevenson Middle School and then continued her studies at Roosevelt High School. She later received her bachelor’s in politics and music from Occidental College with the prestigious Centennial Scholarship. She graduated with a Masters in 2018 from the University of Southern California. She has taught history and music at the middle school and high school levels. She was a member of the top female mariachi groups in Los Angeles including Mariachi Reyna de Los Angeles and Mariachi Nuevo Mujer 2000. She has played in venues all over the country and internationally. She currently leads her own group, Mariachi Tierra Mia. She is the mother of three children.
