Bernardo Parrilla

About this Artist

The epitome of the gypsy flamenco violin, Bernando has become an important collaborative flamenco musician.

He has appeared in numerous films such as Joaquin Cortes’ “Gitano” and all of Carlos Saura’s flamenco films. He can be heard on almost every important flamenco recording of artists such as Enrique Morente, Carmen Linares, Manolo Sanlucar, and Navajita Plateá.

He has worked with Antonio Canales, Lola Flores, and toured internationally with Tomatito, Joaquin Cortes and the hugely popular group Ketama.

With his brothers Juan, (flute) and Manuel, (guitar) he is a part of the trio “Alburejo”, a continually evolving group creating traditional and fusion compositions that have already left a mark on the panorama of Flamenco musical history.
