CATHERINE WYN-ROGERS was a Foundation Scholar at the Royal College of Music and her many prizes including the Dame Clara Butt award. Catherine currently works with Diane Forlano.

Miss Wyn-Rogers appears regularly with the Three Choirs, Edinburgh and Aldeburgh festivals, the BBC Proms and at the Wigmore Hall. She has performed with Slatkin, Haitink, Andrew Davis, Colin Davis, Rozhdestvensky, Mackerras, Norrington and Mehta, and her numerous recordings include Samson with Christophers, The Dream of Gerontius with Handley, Mozart’s Requiem with Mackerras, Peter Grimes with Colin Davis and Graham Johnson's Complete Schubert Edition.

Catherine made her debut at the Lyric Opera of Chicago as Sosostris in The Midsummer Marriage and for the Teatro alla Scala as Mrs Sedley in Peter Grimes. She has also worked with the Scottish Opera, the Welsh National Opera, Opera North, the Semper Oper, Dresden, the Teatro Real Madrid, the Netherlands Opera, the Houston Grand Opera and at the Salzburg Festival. She sang Erda and Waltraute (Goetterdammerung) under Mehta in both Valencia and Florence. Catherine is a regular guest of the English National Opera, the Royal Opera House, Covent Garden and the Bavarian State Opera. 

Engagements this season include Das Rheingold in Munich, Deborah Warner’s Messiah for the Opera de Lyon, Peter Grimes staged on the beach for the Aldeburgh Festival, and Sosostris at this year’s BBC Proms, conducted by Sir Andrew Davis. She will make her debut for the Glyndebourne Festival with The Rape of Lucretia and for the Metropolitan Opera in Arabella.
