Guitarist/composer/producer PAUL JACKSON, JR. received a "Best R&B Instrumental" GRAMMY nomination for the title track of his first release entitled "I Came to Play." His single "It's A Shame" from his current release "Still Small voice", achieved the status of #1 in the country on the Smoothjazz.com and R&R Smooth Jazz charts and remained in the top ten for months.
Performed at Montreux, Playboy and other Jazz festivals and numerous venues worldwide as well as on numerous movie and TV sound tracks, TV Specials and Awards shows.
In addition to his work as a solo artist, Paul's stellar live and studio performances earned him several awards and the reputation of being the most recorded and requested guitarist in the world. Paul has received "Gold" and "Platinum" albums reflecting sales in excess of 85 million albums containing his "guitarisma". He has worked with Michael Jackson (Thriller, Bad and History) and many other artists including: the Crusaders, Celine Dion, Madonna, Yolanda Adams, Destiny's Child, Dave Koz, Mary J. Blige, Quincy Jones, Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, George Duke, George Benson, Luther Vandross, Barbara Streisand, Whitney Houston, Elton John, Patrice Rushen, Backstreet Boys, etc., etc.
Paul was also Music Director for The American Cinema Awards Show, which honored Bob Hope, the sitcoms Martin and Townsend Television and Patti Austin and co-composed music for the movie, Undercover Brother.
