About this Artist

Seth Johnson is an Afro-Indigenous scholar and an enrolled member of the Gabrieleno Tongva San Gabriel Band of Mission Indians. He is Fire fighter tier 2 certified, a cultural burn practitioner and a certified Naturalist through Community Nature Connection. Seth is a graduate student in Native American Studies at UC Davis with a focus on California Native American Land Stewardship. For the summer, he is working as a Tribal Ecologist for the San Gabriel Band of Mission Indians.
